What is Palliative Care?
Palliative Care is a specialized medical care focused on providing relief from symptoms, pain,
and stress for anyone living with a chronic or serious illness. It can be appropriate at any stage of a
disease and can be provided together with curative treatments. Palliative Care focuses on 3 main
elements:

  • Symptom Management
  • Advanced Care Planning
    • Helping patients and their families understand their illness and establish their

All of these elements are addressed with a goal of improving the quality of life for the patient and
